Servicios de Mapas y Transporte en Mérida
La mejor aplicación de mapas para México es probablemente Google Maps, y hay varias alternativas en cuanto al transporte en Mérida. El transporte en autobús en Mérida está gestionado por «Va y Ven» con una tarjeta inteligente de pago único por $25 MXN ($1.5 USD), y cada viaje cuesta $12 MXN ($0.70 USD). The best map app for Mexico is probably Google Maps, and there are several transportation alternatives in Mérida. It is important to note that many central locations (such as the Monumento a la Patria or the iconic Paseo de Montejo avenue) are within walking distance of the convention venue. However, as we will mention later, the weather in Mérida can be quite hot. However, many markets, small shops and street vendors mainly accept cash. Merida is a tourist destination for Americans, so they generally accept both Mexican pesos (MXN) and US dollars (USD).
Public transportation mainly uses cash and only accepts Mexican pesos. We recommend having at least $500 MXN ($30 USD) in cash per day. You can get Mexican pesos at many exchange houses in the airport arrivals area or at any bank or ATM within the city. They are widely available, but we suggest looking for a branch of Banorte «the strong bank of Mexico», Citibanamex or BBVA.
